Zachary Downs Killed When A Tractor Trailer Collided With Motorcycle

February 18, 2016- Fort Worth, A motorcyclist was killed Thursday night when a tractor-trailer pulled out of a rail yard in the 5800 block of North Main Street and attempted to turn, hitting the motorcycle, police reported.

Zachary Downs, 29, of Saginaw, was pronounced dead at 7:11 p.m. at the scene of the wreck, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Downs’ motorcycle got caught under a wheel of the truck, and he was thrown off and was “possibly hit by a passing vehicle,” said Sgt. Steve Enright, a Fort Worth police spokesman.

The medical examiner’s office confirmed that Downs was run over by a vehicle, but it was unclear Friday whether it was a second vehicle or the truck.
