Wyatt Cravens of Colorado Springs Killed In Collision with Semi Truck

April 11, 2016 near AMARILLO, TX - A wreck between a semi-truck and a car over the weekend claimed the life of a man from Colorado.

Sunday morning at around 6:30, Texas state troopers say a semi-truck driver was traveling on FM 1912 when he took a left turn onto US 287 near Amarillo.  Troopers say he failed to yield right-of-way to a Corvette that was traveling on US 287.  The car, driven by 41 year-old Wyatt Cravens of Colorado Springs, struck the trailer which was stopped across both lanes.

Cravens was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi-truck driver, 53 year-old Grover Burnham of Newton, Texas, was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries.  Troopers say both drivers were wearing their seat belts and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
