Utah Man Killed When Rear-Ended By A Semi-Truck Near Sonora, Texas

SAN ANGELO, Texas - March, 13, 2015 --A Utah man died in a crash just east of Sonora.

Just before 8:15 a.m. Thursday, a Sierra 1500 pickup was eastbound on Interstate 10 at a slow speed, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety news release.

A tractor-trailer, which was eastbound on the same roadway, struck the pickup from behind, causing fatal injuries to the pickup’s driver, whom the release identified as Karle Maxwell, 77, from Midvale, Utah.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Chad Boyer, 43, of Buckeye, Arizona, was taken to a hospital in Sonora.
