Two Children Die In Crash With 18-Wheeler Near Bedias, Texas

BEDIAS, Texas, May 18, 2018— A wreck between an 18-wheeler and a car took the lives of two children Wednesday morning.  This happened off State Highway 90 south of Bedias in Grimes County around 7 a.m.

According to DPS, a 2007 Mazda slowed down to make a left turn into a private drive when it was hit from behind by a semi-truck.  Authorities identified the driver of the Mazda as 26-year-old Montiqua Mosley of Bedias. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.  A six-year-old passenger was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Temple with serious injuries.  DPS said there were two other children, a five-year-old and two-year-old, in the Mazda that died on the scene.

The truck driver was not injured and has been identified as 30-year-old Mickael Compton of Missouri.
