February 5, 2016 --GRAND PRAIRIE -- Three people were killed and an infant was injured Thursday afternoon in a crash on the President George Bush Turnpike near Interstate 20, police say.

On Friday the victims were identified as Thomas Lewis, 69, of Oak Point, Carolyn Lewis, 67, and Carolyn Adkison, 34.

According to Texas DPS Sgt. Lonny Haschel, at about 4:25 p.m. an armored vehicle was sitting disabled on the roadside in the painted area where a ramp splits with the roadway when a Honda Accord traveling south on the PGBT entered the lanes to continue on to I-20 and then drifted off the roadway and struck the armored car.  Sgt. Haschel said three occupants of the Honda Accord died at the scene, and an infant was transported to Children's Medical Center in Dallas with "serious injuries."  A driver and passenger in the armored car were unharmed.
